Rollie is now 81 years old and still coaching. He's currently the coach at Keiser College in Florida. Having lived in Florida for 18+ years of my life, I honestly never heard of that school.

Anyway, glad to see that he's still kicking. You know someone from Nova will drag him over to Houston.

I had no idea he was still alive. That's uplifting news that he's still coaching. Thanks for that!

Biggest mistake he ever made was leaving Villanova. He virtually became a nobody after he left.
Maybe, but one never knows all the facets of the story. He was struggling at Nova. UNLV offered him a lot of money. Maybe they made him an offer he couldn't refuse. A lot of people at the top of their profession like new challenges, or even need them. He was probably under a lot of pressure at Nova to produce another championship. It is Philly after all. I'm sure a lot of factors were involved, more than I have listed.

I know some people like to rag on athletes who don't retire on top and kind of fade away, but I think it's cool as hell when people like Rollie or Rickey Henderson simply do what they love until they can't possibly do it anymore.

he looked 81 in 1985.

He's 245-60 at Keiser. I'll bet he's having a blast, doing what he loves best.

Ricky is the best lead off hitter of all time. Take the walk and make it a triple. Biggest game changer I have ever seen before steroidy Bonds.

The had a saying among the BE coaches back in the day: 7 good guys and one A hole. That was Rollie.
