There are now more guys 6-5 to 6-7 (18), than those 5-9 to 5-11 (17). The latter group includes a good number of non-scholarship players.

59 are 6-0 to 6-4.

One example of the staff building up a P-5 roster. The age of the Smurf is over. A couple of plucky undersized over achievers is fine, and in some ways a good thing, but you can’t win with a roster built that way.

Interesting. As a reference point I picked 2015 to compare. Pretty significant difference. I think the majority of the difference is mostly at the DB position. Like you said, we have very few smurphs at the CB and Safety positions now in comparison to then.

In 2015 the numbers were:
5-9 to 5-11 (24), 6-0 to 6-4 (57), 6-5 to 6-7 (17).

In 2022 the numbers will be (after recalculating for the soon to be fall arrivals per 247):
5-9 to 5-11 (17), 6-0 to 6-4 (66), 6-5 to 6-7 (20).
