This conference was very doable. Throw in ND for Connecticut if you really want a perfect setuo.
 
It would have been far better than the ACC of today, at least as good as the Pac10 and would have made a lot of money. If only Paterno wasn't such an idiot, if only he had a sense of intelligence and compromise, it would have happened. His judgement was awful from day one...the Sandusky scandal was just another example.  This mess where Eastern teams should have been in one conference but ended up distributed in 4 different ones is mostly on him.
