Right now, based on offers and, imo film, Hewitt is a reach.  An early one at that.  He does have some good raw measurables though and seeing him in person is a positive.

As an aside, i don't buy the foothold argument.  When have we ever turned grabbing a few lightly recruited recruits from a school/area into grabbing a blue chip type.  (Maybe Qadir White?)  We never got the more sought after prospects from Aquinas, the DC privates, Western PA, etc., despite landing several middling recruits.  HS kids like to go to school with their friends.  Competitive HS kids like to one-up their friends.
