Sadiq deserved more minutes

Plug him in somewhere. He’s as athletic, if not more, than their guys. 9 minutes in 2nd half and OT combined. I know Betsey played well, but put him in somewhere. We needed the rebounding. Hell, have him play backup center. Souare couldn’t do it. That aside, more than happy with today’s game, other than FT of course. Proud fan today. And maybe a little mad Betsey was on Sharp for that dagger! Can’t be mad though other than the free throws!

Was the ‘last straw’ when he took that three from the corner? Did he play after that? That was an unwise shot, and I don't believe it was even close to a shot clock issue. Good to be confident, but that’s not his role.

He’s a liability in the halfcourt. Unless he was right near the basket his guy was roaming off him the entire game.

He was locking up Cenac when he was in. He’s way too good of a player to not get a little more time.

I don’t disagree with the logic, but if Red sees White’s threes in practice and deems him not the guy you want doing that, while Kingz is… White could get the JB Punitive Yank after just one. Like if Souare took one… see ya.

Sadiq is an NBA player. We need him on the court more than 19min in an OT game when our star is out. Sampson lets his 5 stars play, no matter how bad they may be playing for a half or even a whole game. Sadiq’s a guy who can take us to the next level with the more and more time he gets.

Kingz is our best perimeter defender by far. That’s why he gets a long leash. He also is the anti Chris Bell in that he rebounds. He shut down their freshman until we had to move him onto Sharp.

He also didn’t catch a pass from Kyle that could have been a dunk. He needs another 20-30 pounds to be really effective against big, strong guys. He’s not close to NBA level.

Tyler is also a very solid defender. The minutes will fluctuate depending on matchup and need. Houston defends off the ball extremely well and working off the ball is where Sadiq is most valuable offensively as well as in transition. Thus this was not a great matchup for him but it was a good matchup for Tyler which. Sadiq at about 20 mpg is just fine splitting with Betsey until Donnie returns with that fluctuating based on matchup

Agree, That was the issue here. Betsey was our top scorer and hitting clutch threes. That’s the only place you could plug White in.

We still dominated paint points, even with him only playing 19 minutes. Rebounding we just about held our own, so I believe it was more important to give those minutes to Betsey.

With Freeman out, he got the first crack at making a big impact. He did not, and Betsy did.

Next Game, if Betsey does not shoot well, you will see more of White.

If white wants to earn even more minutes, I think he has to prove that he might be a better option as a small ball center than Souare. Right now, his skill set is actually closest to Kyle. But Kyle has been amazing on both offense and defense and should be playing as many minutes as he can handle.
