Build one, and renovate one, and the hotel just continues it's slide, because no one comes to Syracuse for conventions or events anymore.  We let that business just drift away because we couldn't get our  together.  No thirty years later, we seem to be repeating the same mistakes.  I love this area.  But I absolutely hate how this town is run, and how so many of the people here hate any kind of change.
