Down there, we're in a close game that goes down to the wire, and louisville made all of the mistakes that enabled us to capitalize and win the game down the stretch.

Saturday, we were in another close game and executed extremely poorly over the last two minutes, enabling louisville to snatch the victory.

Frustrating.

Very frustrating. I thought at 48-47 with the ball we were in great shape.

We were in great shape. It felt like we had all the momentum at that point. Then we failed to execute the rest of the game.

Was thinking the exact same thing watching the game.. felt like a pure reversal of the first game..

The other thing that was the complete opposite in the two games... Brandon Triche... he played like the best player on the court the first go around... on Saturday he played like the worst player on the court. We go as our guards go... if even one of them has a good game we win but they can't both come up empty

The statement highlighted above is true for all of college basketball. Our guards need to play better than what they've shown recently. They can be better. And they're going to have to be better if we are going to right the ship and make a postseason run.
