Scott Shafer's defenses make plays. Has the defense missed opportunities over the course of the season? Sure. But on the whole our defense is making big plays and creating opportunities for us to win. Based on the defensive performance against ND, FSU, and Clemson, and the improvement in competitiveness from last year to this year, SS has proven to me that he's the man for the job regardless of what happens the rest of this season.

I trust in Shafer to do whatever it takes to get the offense figured out in the offseason and while we've had some bumps in the road it's clear this program is still trending upward. This is the type of defense that wins ACC championships. If we can start to churn out even mediocre offenses, I think Shafer can turn this program into something special.

Not to be a Debbie downer but that was a really bad Clemson
offense... They made a ton of mistakes. BC also shut them down last week. Not saying it wasn't a good performance but let's tonr down the hyperbole. Before I proclaim the D to be ACC title worthy I would like to see it shut down even one decent spread offense with a running qb. We look good against bad QBs and really bad against even a decent QB.

The offense still lacks playmakers.
