maybe that should be countUP

  • 889: JB breaks his own school record for wins
  • 116: Kris Joseph breaks his recently set school record for most victories
  • 47: JB moves into 5th place for all time NCAA tournament wins
  • 33: New school record for wins in a single season
  • also, Kris is about to join a rare group of SU players who have played in 3 Sweet 16s in their career. Have to check to make certain, but I believe only Coleman and Thompson have previously achieved the feat.
not a school record, but a little update: after his long slump (in the 8 games after Notre Dame, he was just 1 for 17 from three), James has now made at least one triple in 6 straight games and is hitting at a .435 clip . . .

Good stuff, Moqui, thanks.

I couldn't find it, but I think his making 28 NCAA tournaments is significant. Has to be up there for coaches.

Does Joseph have more Wins than Scoop??? I was actually thinking about this today if Scoop had the most Wins in a cuse career. Does anyone have the stats on top ten in the history of the program. Would be curious to see that.

87 to 90 we made the Sweet 16 3 times, beating UF and Mizzou, losing to Minnesota.

Goes by games played. We made the NIT in Scoop's frosh year, he redshifted his second year. KJo has been here for our most consistent years, playing in most of the games he was eligible.

Fwiw, Triche should break the record next year, and set his own for most wins by a starter.

Speaking of statistical milestones, Triche needs six more points to reach 1,000 for his career.

Here are the 14 with 100 or more career wins. I count only games in which they actually played, not games in which they were merely on the roster:

Joseph 116
Thompson 114
Coleman 113
Douglas 109
Jardine 109
Jackson 106
Seikaly 105
D. Johnson 104
McNamara 103
Forth 103
Hak 103
McNeil 103
Bouie 100
Orr 100

Triche is 26 behind Joseph and could break his record next year.

and I need to check the box scores, but I believe Stevie and Derrick are the only players who appeared in all three

Surprised to see Louie and Bouie tied. Didn't Louis have arthoscopy on his knee one year and miss a handful of games?
