Absent from the 2-deep, will either likely play this year? I thought these were 2 of the top 3 biggest surprises during camp?

It's only the 2 deep for game one. Avant was injured some during camp but will most likely see the field this year. Erv may be back returning kicks with Estime for all we know. No need for concern.

Not only these two, but, a lot of FR will see the field this year. My guess is a total of 10/11 players play this year. Special Teams is a great place for some of the younger guys with a lot of ability but maybe not enough to crack the 2-deep. As our depth increases, as should our ST's productivity.

One thing to keep in mind, the kids that are now coming in, either SO/RFR/FR will probably be put in earlier bc they are the new staff's "guys". I liken it to a kid at Christmas, you can't wait to play with your new toys.

This is where we have to get to. Look at FSU with Kermit Whitfield playing his freshman year as a kick returner. When you have guys like that only able to crack your special teams squad, you know you're loaded.

that dude can straight up fly. impressive speed. i think he scored vs us with winston throwing down a down field block.
