Apologies if already covered somewhere.

I have the invoice to renew my 3 season tix, and the deadline is 2/27. What happens if I don’t do it by then? Are my seats open for others? Debating if I want 3 again or drop to 2.

This deadline is earlier than last year. And my price increased like others (can’t remember what I paid last year but it seems like a good jump).

I sit in 300 level endzone so they aren’t anything outrageous, but still.

I believe they go back into inventory to sell.

And the deadline is like 3 months earlier? That’s ridiculous.

Its 3 months earlier because a majority of the fans do the payment plan.

This allows those folks to be able to have a longer time for the payment plan and makes the monthly payment cheaper and more palatable for a larger base of the fans.

This is actually a fan friendly initiative. Syracuse was generally months behind most other D1 P4 schools in their renewals.

I think the basketball deadline is May 1. That’s good because by then we should know the name of the new coach and more than likely have a roster for next year.

Wasn't there some auto renewal that Syracuse added this year and if you didn't click out of it your tickets automatically renewed for the upcoming season? Thought I had read that somewhere. It was something new they were doing.
So if that was the case, you are on the hook for all three tickets possibly.

That’s fair. My invoice is like $700. And that isn’t parking. For 3 seats and 6 games that’s $38 a game. Seems like a big increase from the last couple of years.

Really debating if it’s worth it.

I decided not to renew. I had nice seats on the aisle, but can't make many games and SU made it harder to sell my unused seats. For a number of reasons, it's not as fun to be a STH. It was a good run but it's time for me to move on...
I made that mistake for football seasons in1987. Couldn’t even give away tickets after having my son when we had tickets on the 50 yard line in 1986;so we gave them up. Then came 1987 and tried to get them back when we had were 4-0 and was told the only seats were in row w in nosebleed. Kicked ourselves for years. 😀

You’ll be back when we win 10 games this season!
I hope to get to a game, but don't think they really want STH's that sell some of their tickets and compete with their single game sales. I don't really blame them but it takes me out of the season ticket market if I can't sell some of my tickets. I don't live locally and haven't made it to as many games recently. I'll just buy tickets when I can get there.

I have my tickets for almost 40 yrs now. Thats my donation to the program and I get to use them when I want. Its been a long time since I could get anyone to go or give them away. Hoping the grand kids are excited to go in the next few years so they get used. Bought back the 3rd ticket in the re-org and that has been used twice in two years.

what makes it harder to sell? i have 6 seats and a couple games ive had a couple extras. i find the selling process to be very easy.

The break even is pretty hard to obtain now. I gave up 2 tickets that I haven't been using much the last few years. Two years ago they were $82.14 per game. This year they would have been $116.67 per game. At $82 if I sold them I would take a small hit which is fine. But at $116 it isn't worth it when I am only using those for friends and family 1-2 times a year.

Yep, click the box, type an email or text, click send, done.

It even saves the people you send to so you don’t have to type in the information if another game is going to the same person.

It took me longer to type this post than to sell a ticket. And I wasn’t using my toes.

Try $1640 for two seats. A lot more than last year. Does include parking. Same seats two years ago were less than $1000.

Well, the process is easy, but the price set by SU through Ticketmaster mostly guarantees failure. I sold some through Stubhub but that process was more difficult than through Ticketmaster. Ticketmaster set a price that I couldn’t lower. Not all games can fetch the set price so it was either leave the seats empty or move them to Stubhub.

gotcha. i thought you meant the su process to sell was hard.

The process is easy. Actually selling them isn’t, especially when we can’t score 20 and get blasted.

Well that's a totally separate problem that applies to any bad team. And our home schedules normally aren't all that attractive, save for a game or two.

No one wants to go to the BC or Pittsburgh games, like ever. Clemson found their way to the middle and FSU found their way toward the bottom. Those are traditionally the most attractive ACC names, but probably won't carry as much weight. Miami has come to the Dome once in our 14 seasons in the ACC, thankfully that one game really worked out.

If ND is undefeated, people can probably sell that ticket to ND fans and recover most of the year.

The end of an era for me. I've had two season tickets (many years four) since the dome opened in 1980. Before that, you didn't need season tickets to attend games in Archbold; I attended most games since I graduated from SU in 1973. My devotion is obvious as I had to travel from the Albany area to attend games. You can count on my fingers the number of home games I missed over that span (mostly due to those insane people who decided to get married on a fall football Saturday). Last year, I didn't attend one game. I transferred my tickets to a relative in Syracuse. A serious early September illness prevented me from attending the first three games. The two October games were at night which became harder for me to travel to as I aged. Then, I had no interest in attending the BC game on Thanksgiving weekend. For me, the cost is not an issue. Despite the enthusiasm and hope Fran Brown has injected in the SU program, I have decided it's time. I've witness so my great memories in the dome over the years; I'm sure I'll miss being there. I will no longer be sharing my dome passion with my wife and friends who I brought to the dome. Kudos to my wife who tolerated my passion and traveled to almost every game with me for decades. It's been such a big part of my life. It was a great run! GO SU! I'll close with "BROMINSKI!"

When do we get to choose new seats? I'm looking to move (tried something last year and hated it) and also add a seat.
