If their bigs are getting eaten up by Warner from NDS I can just imagine what would happen if they ran into Okafor or Towns. It would get ugly in a hurry.

As much as I don't want to see it, I would be very surprised anyone gets in dooks way before Kentucky in the final game. Again, another champtionship game where I want both teams to lose. Fun stuff.

I will say though... as far away as it is, I can't wait until next march! Cuse will be in the house.

I never believed in them to beging with. One of the guys on the Tournament show was saying "I want to see them play Duke one night, then Syracuse the next and Louisville after, until then there's no way of knowing how good they are". That 6'5 Center from NDS destroyed them and Gonzaga would've been in trouble if NDS just gave the ball to him everytime. They got it close on his back then other players wanted in on the fun and turned it over unforced or missed jump shots. Gonzaga is way overhyped.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Iowa win by ten plus. That's the team left that will give Duke a game.

Agreed.

It wasn't quite as bad as some of you guys are thinking. Yes Werner had the best night of his life, (10-14), however the entire NDSU team played over their heads. They shot almost 55%, including 10-21 from the arc. You can almost beat God with numbers like that. The officiating was questionable, as is not uncommon in the NCAA's. They missed Karnowski taking a thumb in the eye, which took him off the floor and even when he came back he wasn't the same. The one black ref who ran like he had just come from a colonoscopy kept inventing air fouls in Gonzaga's big guys, so they had to back off. And in case anyone didn't notice, NDSU gave up 86 at the other end. As good as Werner was, Wiltjer was better. I admit my bias toward the Zags (my wife did her MA there), but I saw a team that didn't get rattled by all this, especially under the pressure of two previous early exits. Just MHO. :)

The Zags are usually over rated. They play in a weak conference and pile up easy wins for 2 months. Then they get exposed in the tourney.

Gonzaga in basketball = Boise State in football.

I have Duke vs. Iowa for the South region. If plays defense tomorrow I think they beat Gonzaga and sail to the elite 8.

I think Gonzaga's Domantas Sabonis is the perfect 4-year center to have on your team. Besides the obvious pedigree that he has going for him - he is averaging 9.4 ppg and 7 boards a game while playing only 21 minutes. Not bad for a freshman on a highly rated team. With him, Whiljer & Karnowzki they got 15 fouls to give away at the 5 spot. It looked like they were mauling the NDST players due to the size differential but they should be able to dominate Aaron White who went for 15 & 12 at MSG against us and RC. I would hold onto Gonzaga's stock for at least a couple of games as that bracket is breaking nice for them. I would wait until the Duke match-up before I was a seller.
