SALUTING THE SENIORS

Saturday is Senior Day at the Carrier Dome. Thirty young men (29 student-athletes, 1 student
manager) will be honored in a brief ceremony prior to the game for their commitment to the
Orange program. They are:

Adonis Ameen-Moore, Luke Arciniega, Travon Burke, Clay Cleveland, Eric Crume, Dyshawn Davis, Ritchy Desir, Durell Eskridge, Adrian Flemming, Quinta Funderburk, Jaston George, Prince-Tyson Gulley, Keenan Hale, Sean Hickey, Darius Kelly, Josh Kirkland, Jeremiah Kobena, Cameron Lynch, John Miller, Joe Nassib, Brandon Reddish, Micah Robinson, Sam Rodgers, Ryan Sloan, Greg Tobias, Trevon Trejo, Robert Welsh, Jarrod West, Jesse Wolf-Gould and Steve Fantigrossi (mgr.).

Pretty much as offical as offical gets that Eskridge is gone.

What about Barry Baker?

Eskridge, Funderburk, George, and Sloan should have eligibility left.

Not surprised to see Funder and George take their degrees, and I hate to see depth on the DL leave.

IMO Esk isn't ready.

Room for 29 recruits if everyone goes (if anyone's counting)

These things always work out. ;)

Just because you walk doesn't mean you're gone.. Hickey walked last year...

I'd expect Sloan back... But the rest may indeed be leaving or were asked to move on..

Esk really shouldn't.

Really shouldn't go pro yet. That would be a huge mistake...

I remember going to the SU-Rutgers game in NJ in 2003, and actually feeling bad for their seniors. They were announced in front of no more than 1,000 people in the stadium. Filled up a little more as the game went on, and they won, so I didn't feel that bad for long. It was a really windy day, and I remember thinking that a piece of tumbleweed was one of their seniors.

I sense something similar happening at the Dome on Saturday. Less the wind.

I remember that game... and the dismal RU turnout... and the wind. Wow, was it windy!

And it blew both ways! ;)

I don't think so. I recall having a lengthy argument with someone here who was adamant that the wind only affected SU. Seems strange, I know, but apparently that's what happened.

He will be honored with Darryl Kennedy in a private ceremony.

One of the most moving recent Senior Day moments was that of Shamarko.

I'm not a Steelers fan (nor hater), but I'd love to see him hold the Lombardi Trophy someday. What a story that would be.

Not 29 Scholarship recruits. Some of those guys aren't on Scholarship.

27 of them are on scholarship this year (Burke, and Wolf-Gould aren't).

Since we were only using 83 scholarships in the first place, we could have room for 29 newbies.

I didn't realize Tobias and Nassib were on scholarship but I see now that they are.

Didn't realize aam a senior

Yeah, thought Moore had another year of eligibility.

We're going to be thin in the backfield next year.

I don't see anybody ready to carry a heavy load.

Duke had horrible trouble stopping the Pitt power rushing attack last week. They ran for over 390 yards. If we can patch together a decent OL from all the walking wounded, AAM might be in line for a big day on Senior Day.

I love Senior Day. Always my favorite home game of the year. Always a nice presentation put on by the school and the football program

Arciniega could have applied for another year. Wonder if he will be taking his degree and leaving as well?

if durell says yes on that nflpa collegiate bowl he would not be able to come back right ?
