Seriously? Some ACC games are just as bad as this one! This hasn't been the most exciting tourney in recent years but it happens. I'm gonna miss the Big East and the tourney! I don't get the grass is greener mentality!

You know your conference tournament is better than anyone elses tournament when your number 1 seed has to play an NCAA tourney team in their first game.

The first 2 days of the BET are always like this though. Now that the awful teams are out, things will pick up, starting tmrw for sure.

I do agree about the officiating though. Atrocious on every level.

Did you watch some ACC games this year? Virginia is a lot like USF. SLOW like watching paint dry. Leonard Hamilton's Florida St. teams play physical defense. Miami too.

The Big East tournament has been bad this year (though it is still too early to judge), but remember how great it was last year? Remember the 6 OT game? GMac's senior year? I could go on and on. The Big East tournament has been by far the best basketball tournament (including the NCAA tournament) if you go by quality of games and the entertainment value of the games.

It is the one thing I will really miss about the Big East.

It's as if you're comparing USF-Nova to UNC-Duke. BET has some crappy games, some great games. ACCT has some crappy games, some great games. Would a BC/VT game be any better than USF/Nova?

I don't know, I'm pretty fired up to be boarding a train tomorrow a.m. and taking in what I expect to be two hard-fought basketball games in a cool arena in a cool city. There's a lot to love about this tourney.

Putting aside the style of play so far, what we have left are 8 teams that are going to the NCAAs -- including 4 top 20 teams. Today and tomorrow will be better than the first weekend of the NCAAs. Teams like Georgetown, UConn & ND to root against.
Always have liked the BET.

give me a break, a syracuse vs american university game would be very entertaining for us..im talking about impartially watching basketball and enjoying it when your team is not involved.

other conferences have shitty teams for sure...but the big east is so ing big...it means we just have that many more shitty teams.

That tip in on the free throw by Drummond had to be the worst non call push in the back ever. He clearly shoved the SU player and then tips the ball in. Can't believe they let that go. That made it a 3 point game.

At this point living on the edge of ACC territory I can't wait to get the hell out of the EB and into ACC play. I think the refs have been against us even more than usual this season and next season will e worse. The way the ACC calls things will help us tremendously as long as the drivers adjust to the ed charges they call.

I get your point. I think the officials in BE let way too much go. I think refs that call the game closely will benefit SU's style of play much more than the wrestling matches that are commonplace in the BE.
