Held on to win, 69-64, getting a solid win @ the #29 RPI team. With SHU's RPI currently at 8, they could make a jump into the top 5.

Does anyone have realtimerpi subscription that can tell us where the Pirates land after this win?

Yeah, I had an eye on that score as Seton Hall seems to be one of the bigger surprises in the league thus far. Now 10-1, and they have an easy one next so will come into the Dome a week from tonight at 11-1. I have seen a lot of Marquette game talk lately on the board, but not enough about this game. As everyone knows, SH destroyed us last year at the Dome, and they appear to be a lot better this year. Herb Pope has been absolutely sensational this year, a double-double machine (22.1pts, 11.8 boards before tnite). By this time next Wednesday we should know a lot more about our basketball team. I think it'll be a nice test for us to see how we handle a big bruiser like Pope inside, especially with no more Ricky.

Agree with NYCFan about the Hall. They have some pretty good wins against VCU, st joes, and now At Dayton. Pope has been an absolute horse his year and Theodore has been running the point efficiently. And let's not forget the pounding they put on us just last year at the Dome. Let's hope here is no after Xmas hangover. We will need to bring it next Wednesday.

Dammit. I like Dayton. College town. Always seems to be in the top 15 in total attendance every year despite sub-par opponents. Alan Griffin as the assistant coach...already signed a very nice NYC point guard for next year. On-campus arena with an insane crowd. I recommend going to a Dayton home game if you get a chance...especially against X. Fun stuff. Great atmosphere. A better conference would do wonders for them. Interestingly, their last very good coach...is the current coach of DePaul. Purnell has never replicated the success he had at UD.

I understand the reasons for adding DePaul to the BE, but I would love to have Dayton instead (Xavier would not have been a possibility with Cincy whining about it).

I agree totally. Nobody talks about this as a possible loss for us, but I anticipate it being the toughest game of our season to date. Seton Hall is a pretty good team, and they will come at us hard.

While I agree that the SHU game may be the biggest challenge to date, MU was probably talked about more because they were ranked so high. I hope having some bigs to throw at Pope and get him into foul trouble will be part of the game plan.

love herb pope. guy seems like an old school baller to me. i also like theodore, pretty good guard. fortunately i think we have enough veterans to not look past anyone in the conference this year, especially after the beat down they put on us last year.

Seton Hall is not gonna beat us 2 years in a row at the dome.

FYI, Buffalo won at Dayton this year too.

By 29.

That was a very good win for the Hall. Dayton has wins over Wake Forest, Minnesota, and Alabama. Should be a good one against them comin' up next week.

Despite the loss to Buffalo the Flyers are perenially a good team and this year is no different ... Real good win for SH on Dayton's home floor. Herb Pope has become a monster. SH the surprise BE team this year. This is going to be a tough game at the Dome next week ... probably the toughest game to date with some real challenges to our Bigs.

SH will a very tough game for us. They are playing real good. Pope is playing out of his mind (making a big push for the NBA $$$). They play tough defense and...make you play half court basketball, which is not exactly our strong point. Hopefully we execute our offense well that night and get hot from outside.
