Class of 2023 SF Marcus Adams (CA) Offered

I wish that was true! I wish I could get into video games like used to. But my point stands. Kids trying to make the NBA will do what they think is best. As Syracuse fans we’ve been on both sides of these. Can’t blame the kids for doing what they think is best, and it’s ridiculous to get mad like they owe US something.
I partly blame streaming on the video games thing. When there are a few hours to kill there are 90 million things to choose from. Plus who has 40 hours to game that isn't spread over 3 years anymore lol.

We stink. That's why we have no shot. It has nothing to do who's involved. We obviously had the talent to beat Kansas in some pretty big games in program history. Things have changed.
Actually we don’t. We aren’t up to the standards that JB established and maintained for years, but we are still in the slightly above average range. Louisville stinks. Georgetown stinks.

A multitude of factors.
One of those factors is the increased proliferation of early exits. The one and done culture means that a school like Kentucky or Kansas or Duke, who used to fill a roster with 8 five stars by bringing in 2 or 3 a year now brings in 5 or 6 a year and churns through three times as many in a four year cycle.

Send him all the videos. It will give him a feel of the environment.

Maybe, but that sure isn't the same as being there in person and experiencing both the atmosphere of a packed Dome and the excitement around the championship celebration / jersey retirements first hand.

Or being able to meet / hob-knob with Carmelo Anthony, who could tell him the freedom that forwards have at Syracuse.

I agree, but it’s better than nothing. I also believe that Melo has spoken to Adams.

Unless I’m missing something, I haven’t seen any crystal ball predictions for where Marcus will be committing to yet. I think we’ll see some tomorrow maybe?

maybe I've just come to expect disappointment, but even though I have no insight on this I don't see us winning on this one.

This reminds me of the Mintz recruitment a lot. I feel a lot more optimistic about our chances here. I had a way more detailed post that I had written but I’ve decided to nix that and just post a summary from my typical analysis of recruiting and social media.

Marcus has seen the most love from Syracuse fans and that is by a long shot. He also interacts very heavily with Syracuse fans on his social media, and follows most of the guys on the team. He has reposted things from Carey, Copeland, and Elijah Moore. Moore recently commented on his post about his visit to UCLA and said that it wasn’t the right choice, which Marcus liked and commented a laughing emoji.

Maximo also recently completed an interview where he spoke very highly of the Orange and the offer. Doesn’t mean much, but it does appear that the staff and program left a good impression on the family.

With Mintz I had a lot more luck with getting solid proof that he was most likely going with the orange way before he decided. With Marcus it’s less proof, and more observation on my part and what I think some of it means. We’ll find out tomorrow!

If he puts on an orange hat tomorrow, I’ll post the more in depth analysis I had gathered. If he doesn’t, I’ll have to revisit my strategy:p

Agreed -- how can this be anything other than UCLA?
You never know. Kentucky thought it had a good shot with DeJuan, until they told him he didn’t have to worry about classes or tests.
