Class of 2025 SG Kiyan Anthony (NY) COMMITTED & SIGNED TO SYRACUSE (11/15/24)

Not worried at all...
Somewhere in this thread, a while back, I dropped a crystal balls for Kiyan, since very few prognosticatorrs had. It's still pretty quiet but who else wants to open up Kiyan's registry and gift him some crystal.

Yeah I mean I’ll spill the beans here to corroborate but melo has been in cuse a lot of over the last year with not many people knowing to help the program and mainly focus on NIL. This isn’t just a recruiting win, this is a program win. Melo will basically be living in Syracuse next year so expect to see him a lot
Any chance you have an idea and can share how many years they envision Kiyan at 'Cuse? Hard to see him as a one and done (at the moment anyway) so, hopefully, at least two years of program help?

Hopefully, that's enough time for Syracuse to build some momentum and return back to relevance. This year is looking dicey so far though still early.

For those worried about our team looking rough early season, maybe worth pointing out that USC had an eerily similar experience of barely beating Texas-Arlington and Idaho State.

Man you really hope he’d stick around for as long as he needs to until he’s ready for the NBA. He doesn’t need the money!

Massive in so many ways.

1. It’s been alluded, but Melo’s conpetitive. He’s not only going to personally help with NIL, but he’s going to get alumni to contribute and he’s going to bring corporate sponsors into it well. I think we’re about to start running into recruiting wars with a very favorable weapon selection.

2. Get ready for buzz at the dome. Melo’s going to be at every game. You’re going to see appearances by LeBron and other high profile ballers.

I think this is the shot in the arm this team needs to get back to pre-ACC levels.

Great way to start the weekend!

Did it work when Weitsman brought Giannis, Brady, Gronk, Josh Allen, Jimmy Fallon? I enjoyed it, and I would think the players did, but some thought he was pushing the envelope, especially when he brought that rapper.

anyone else concerned?

Get Kiyan. Keep the recruiting momentum going. Have Saddiq and the Aussie PG and have Choppa next year.

Got to make it happen next year. Kiyan is one more good piece. Love that Melo will be around.

If we can pull another mystery euro big, I'd take it.

Plus USC men's basketball is playing second fiddle to the women's team at USC

If Kiyan chooses USC and we have a bad season, Syracuse could fire Red, hire Musselman and have him bring Kiyan east with him.

That wild scenario is not impossible. Musselman would have taken the Syracuse job when we hired Red but now unfortunately his buy out is probably too expensive.
Wouldn't that be a lateral move? Tough sell moving from LA to Syracuse.
