[QUOTE="jdubs30, post: 2185834, member: 1620"] Jordan Tucker wants to go the college that he thinks will help get him to the league. Not only to the league, but to the league as fast as possible and where he'll be as ready as possible. If he thinks that college is Duke, he'll go there. The "I want guys who bleed Orange" narrative is played out, IMO. Guys like Matt Moyer are passionate about Syracuse, but if MM has NBA aspirations he would not be here unless he thought we could get him to the league. Tucker is serious about Syracuse - but he may also think that Duke or UK could get him to the NBA quicker. Oshae Brissett looked at our history with wings and thought we'd be a good fit for his playing style and the best place to showcase his ability to get drafted. As kids come and stay for multiple years, the develop the passion for SU that never leaves, similar to Devo, GMac, etc. You may have guys like Howard Washington once in a while who grew up major Cuse fans and want to play here, but 9 times out of 10 guys come here to get to the NBA. Let's not call a kid "not serious" about us just because he didn't commit when we wanted him to. Tucker, Quade Green, Matt MOyer, etc. all go to the best spot for them - playing style wise, draft status wise, etc. Would you accept a job offer from Microsoft if your dream job was Google? Knowing that Google could offer you a spot at any minute? I don't blame these kids anymore. I'm not crazy about the crave for attention - but I think kids will geninuelly pick the spot they think is best for them - and they have a better chance of being right than we do because we don't know them .
