Any fan who can't see the difference is blind.....I truly believe in HCSS and this staff as they try to improve our talent and depth...especially at the skill positions. The new IPF should help this staff in recruiting. I'm as disappointed as anyone in our record this year but i still like the direction HCSS is taking this program... next years offense will be more power based with the option, which is what Shafer wants ....McDonald's offense works if you have NFL caliber talent at the skill positions ...we don't and McDonald failed to adjust to the talent level of our backups (poor) when our starters started going down with injuries which lead to him freezing in the booth calling plays...

why is that all of a sudden what Shafer wants? Seems like he wanted something very different by hiring McDonald. Continuity of scheme was promised early on in the transition from Marrone but you saw that language disappear as soon as McD was brought in. I think what Shafer wants is someone he can trust running an offense they believe in that we can hopefully recruit for. It's not clear he has any vision beyond this.

It was a GRob season, that's all. Hopefully it's Shafer's last such season. Shafer joined exclusive company.

The good thing for Shafer is that winning 6 games next year will be viewed as extraordinary progress by his bosses. He's lowered the expectations.

That should have been my plan all along at my job! I've been playing this all wrong
