Shamarko will always be one of my all time program favorites. I don't think I've ever rooted harder for a kid to get drafted and make it in the bigs. Nothing would please me more than to see him take over for Polamalu, and carve out a solid niche over the next few years as an NFL starter.

As an aside, I hope this kid makes a TON of money over the course of his career. Class act, and what a hard worker!

You said it much better than I would have but I agree totally. To overcome the loss of his parents help raise his younger siblings at the age he was is just amazing. I really want him to do well badly. I feel the same way about Durell Eskridge and how he overcame the odds living in a neighborhood that I probably can't even begin to understand what it was like.
