Dear Friends,
We’re excited to provide you with a link to view a digital version of our Fall issue of bE (Be Extraordinary) magazine. The digital version also includes exclusive video content, which pops up automatically on each page that has a companion video feature.
In this issue, football safety Shamarko Thomas recounts his struggles growing up, and the loss of his parents in the poignant cover story. Teammate Dan Vaughan also talks about his upbringing in a much different circumstance. Also on the football front, we reminisce about the 1987 undefeated season on its 25th anniversary, and the top five conference games played during our 22 years in the BIG EAST Football Conference.
Our student-athletes and coaches who participated in the London Olympics share their experiences in a special feature. We also meet a cross country runner, who hails from an Indiana farm, a volleyball player who traveled from Russia to play for the Orange, eight field hockey players who also traveled from foreign countries to attend Syracuse University, and three local soccer prodigies who made an immediate impact as freshmen on the men’s soccer team.
Read about the electronic makeover at the Carrier Dome and the digital upgrades to our website that now provide high-definition video streaming on your iPhone. Check it out now, hot off the digital presses.

Enjoy the magazine, and we hope to see you soon at an upcoming game.
