Shirley Temple, a Hollywood superstar as a child, dies at 85

She was an amazing gift for us all My father used to call her "a freak" In a way the description was accurate, She was pretty much a single event kind of kid.A few million stage mothers grid to get their daughters ti do the something but we all know that they failed to get close. She was a unique child. Watch her and Bo Jangles do their thing remains classic and historic video footage. At least we have the memories she gave us. There is a whole new generation of young people who are unlikely to ever see Shirley on the screen. Watching anything in black and white with the early 20th century production ability will no doubt dissuade the youth to try watching and enjoying the talent unless strapped down and forced to endure the movie by parents or grandparents. I know getting my sons to watch anything like that was near impossible I might as well as try to get them to watch "Howdy Doody" or Pinky Lee.

My daughter had Shirley Temple curls and her daughter does too
