Again, I can't speak from first hand experience, but you have to remember (and this is no shade at anyone to be clear) there are a lot of kids up there that can drop money like it's not a huge deal to buy a shirt or what not and not worry about the price tag, so it's not worth their time to worry. But there are a number of businesses that assume a leveraged hand because they are dealing with young kids (whether it be the companies leasing apartments or how bars used to deal with underage kids, etc).
