In Kentucky, if kentucky team is losing, the rule is you get the ball under the opponents basket. UL got screwed.

What is the rhyme/reason behind that rule in the pros? It seems like such manufactured excitement.

You play the whole game one way and change the rules for the last minute? I hate that rule...

no

but they should reduce the shot clock

1987 might have been different if we had that rule. Because it wasn't in place in 1987, it should never be in place anytime in the future.

Hell no. The only reason it is in the NBA is for pure entertainment purposes. College basketball is about the competition.

I like the rule. It increases the value of time outs. It makes for more end game excitement. And no..it shouldnt be just an end game situation. It should be an option throughout the entire game.

you could argue

why does the clock stop in the final minute of the game after a made basket but not in any other portion of the game? isnt that playing the game by different rules at different times too?
