Side by side comparison: SU - Texas Tech

I don't think it's 'clearly'... very comparable profiles with TT getting the nod due to the factors I stated above. They did next to nothing away/neutral and logged 12 L's without reaching 20 W's

TT better.
Beat Oklahoma, more Top 50 wins, No bad loss.

You are going on "bad" by your own definition. I'm going based on Top 200
Bad losses are generally regarded as those to teams with an rpi of 100+. It could be argued that the bad loss factor in the SU/TT comparison is a wash.

It's quite close. We both have one really bad loss

Neutral vs #169 TCU is about equal to losing at #237 St. John's

But at the end of the day, they have no glaring holes, and while they say its ignored, everyone in that room knows one team went 9-9 in what is viewed as the toughest league. It makes everything that is good on the resume shine brighter.

Re: away/neutral wins--

I wonder how much emphasis the committee will put on where teams piled up their "good" wins. For example, as jncuse has noted, in the Pac-12 there were practically no top road wins.

Thank you Pearl.

While I concede Texas Tech should be in this is the type of resume similar to ours that committee should look at.

If Texas Tech is considered in we should be on the good side of the bubble as well.

People are not looking at the actual resumes and this gets frustrating.

Syracuse - 40
Texas Tech - 46

KenPom

Syracuse - 41
Texas Tech - 43

BPI

Syracuse - 39
Texas Tech - 46

If Syracuse is truly out of the Tournament like many say then Texas Tech better hang on to their butts.

Excellent point. I think the committee puts alot of emphasis on road/neutral wins. It seems like whenever a committee guy is interviewed after the bracket comes out he mentions road wins. Our 2 best wins being road/neutral wins is a big positive for us.
