First half double double. Wow!

It was like he just decided he was sick of getting pushed around and changed the whole game!

At 5:27 in the game, UNC went up 33-17 and from that point on, Sidibe got 5 points 8 rebounds and 2 blocks. We ended the half on a 18-7 run to get close.

Did our guy just turn a corner?

Him keeping the ball & trying the throw one down at the end of the 1st half when everyone knew they were looking for the “give back” corner 3 for Buddy was one of my favorite moments of the season even though it resulted in only a made FT. It’s the single most aggressive thing he’s ever done in Orange, like he was trying to take out a season’s (maybe even a career’s) worth of frustration on one play. The book is not yet closed on Bourama’s Orange story, he can definitely add value next year.

Edit: I also liked the 2nd half sequence where he got the perimeter block & loose ball on D, started the break with an outlet to Hughes, & sprinted down to clean up 2 misses for the And-1. Sidibe’s movement/agility these last 2 games is the best it’s looked since early in his Frosh year.

Sometimes the "per 40" numbers really mean something. Sat under the basket yesterday and he showed restraint in not going over the back when he was boxed out. When he avoids the unproductive fouls and stays on the floor he can have games like this. Defense on Brooks was still an issue, but not always on Bourama. Perimeter ball movement had him in constant motion and there were at least a handful of instances where the weakside rotation was late.
