Siena looked as bad in the first half as they looked great in the 2nd half. Gerry has some promising young players. Doty, the Fulton kid, (15 pts, 11 rebounds, 6 assists, 0 to’s), that 7’1” Bradford kid from NC (15 points in 19 min)   are both freshman, Carey’s a soph (8 pts, 2 blocks), as is Coyle who scored 17 pts, Freeman(20 pts) and Shoats(18pts) are juniors. Sadly they lost a guard, Jackson, a junior transfer last week, who suffered a bad injury last game and will probably be out for quite a while. They are much improved from last year under Gerry but are still a player or 2 away from being a top team in their conference however having no seniors, they should be on a future upward trajectory. This year they need to battle every game to win. Interesting that Gerry switched and adjusted strategies from their normal m2m to zone successfully in the 2nd half.

Looked up the ass’t coaches, and noticed that Ben Lee came from Hop’s staff at Washington to Siena.
