I would bet a large sum of money the kid who made the sign thought he was being clever because he thought Spanish was Melo's native language, so I stand by my point that UConn students are idiots.

Is the fact that Portuguese is Brasil's native language really not common knowledge? That's kind of like being surprised to hear that people speak French in Quebec.

At UConn they're taught that Brazil is a soccer team, not a country.

I've never heard of a foreign student being forced to take a third language as a requirement...if he were to take a language it would probably be English.

Here is the link. The only surprise on the chart is that they are including Loyola of Maryland as a Big East school. I might have missed that memo, but while we are playing the Duke's and UNC's of the world, enjoy playing the Greyhounds of Loyola.
