We beat #11 WVU in 2011 and the following week laid a giant egg at Louisville.

We beat #9 Louisville in 2012. However had 5 losses already by that point.

Last year we beat Virginia Tech and then did nothing after beating BC.

This week we have a chance to validate last week’s win against another good team.

The point spread is at 17.5 that seems way too high for me. Either Vegas thinks we are going to be flat or Miami is going to break out.

Last week wasn’t a fluke. We need to show that this week. We can lose the game but another competitive game on national TV is necessary this week.

Tough to expect college kids to stay focussed after all the love they have been getting this week. That and a long trip to a very different environment (including wet grass). Saban is a master of keeping kids heads on straight. We'll see how Dino does. Fingers crossed.

I think it’s important - but I think last weeks a moment that can stand on it’s own. #2 defending National Champion? That IS the biggest moment.

Yep to all that. Unfortunately looks very windy and rainy, if so gonna be wake forest redux I fear as a result, with hopefully again keeping it close. But the elements will take us out of our game at least somewhat.

Its not winning thats as big as just showing up well. You dont see mant top 10 teams lose at home to unranked ones coming off wins like ours last week. Going to florida back to back games is going to be tough enough without expecting to win them.

I think this is where the Middle Tennessee game helps us. They've already learned once this season what it feels like when you're not ready.
