Why does it seem like 60 years ago. One of the all time great Cuse games in the ACC era. This game had so much going on from the Syracuse perspective and one of JAB's greatest coaching jobs. We were 17 point underdogs.

We actually had talent back then.

Tyus & Eli both played all 45 mins.
32, 4 & 4 for Battle.
20, 5 & 2 for Hughes.
Oshae 43. 14 & 8.
Chukwu & Frankie 32.
Howard w 16, 6, & 5.

Chewie had 10 & 18. 3 swats.
Career game from him under the brightest lights.

Marek only played 12 - IIRC this was the game he drew a charge on Zion.
He prolly still has PTSD from that.

Biggest lesson from that game -- you never pass up an opportunity to heave up a half or full court shot at the end of a half, even if it will affect your stats. Because they occasionally go in and it can be the difference between winning and losing.

We were in the midst of our slide at that point but could still put it together sometimes to compete with the elite. That was a fun game.

Biggest lesson from that game -- you never pass up an opportunity to heave up a half or full court shot at the end of a half, even if it will affect your stats. Because they occasionally go in and it can be the difference between winning and losing.

Taking a heave shot at the end of a period does not count as a field goal attempt if in the scorer's estimation it was not a reasonable attempt to make a field goal and is outside of the shooter's normal range. So fire away!

Fun fact. Robert Braswell was a freshman on that team. He's still playing, and is currently at Charlotte where he's putting up some good numbers.

We love Big Bad Bobby Braswell. Although he might be Doctor Braswell now. I'm would hope seven years of college didn't go down the drain.

I really think he can do well even if his legs never get 100 pct. For Charlotte he can be an athletic 3 and D guy and he will have a size advantage in most league games for them at his position. Plus being close to home it's a good match. The hardest part with Bobby is losing such a great kid...
