Surprised that nobody commented on Calipari being on Mike & Mike this morning. Greenie sounded like he was ready to bow down and kiss the guy's feet. Man does he talk a good game. Claims how he tells his recruits that they have to come in, be a team player and share the ball. No talk of NCAA tourny, no talk of going pro. Just college. He only recruits quality kids. Claims that 9 guys on the team had 3.2 GPA and all promised to finish school. Said that Davis had a 3.7 GPA. (no mentioon of what major or courses) He made it sound like he is the only coach that stressed any of these things much less all of them. Of course Greenie didn't ask about what happened at the previous schools Cal tauhgt at, with them getting on probation. Or why it has taken the NCAA so long to clear Noels if the kid and KU are such upstanding and quality people.

LOL...what a crook of . Cal will also continue to blow smoke out his a@@ and act like he's a saint. Some of these radio and TV personal people need to challenge him instead of kissing up to him.

It's easy to get a 3.2 when your hardest course is Remedial Basket Weaving (independent study).

Three guesses on who is replacing Duke as ESPN's most favored team and the first two don't count...

He's as respectable as Lance Armstrong...doh!

Calipari has set up one of the most influential foundations in the history of the world? Maybe he isn't so bad after all.

His comment concerning not discussing the NBA with recruits and players is total BS. Remember a couple of years ago when he publicly stated that his primary job was not building teams or winning championships, but preparing his players to advance their basketball careers?

He said that he tells parents who ask him how he is going to prepare their child for the NBA that there are plenty of schools that will do that, but at Kentucky the kid has to be prepared to be a member of a team and play team ball. He constently harps how the best player on the team last year took the 5th most shots. The 2nd best, the 4th most shots. while it may have been true, I don't think that it was true the previous couple of years with his one and dones.

He is the master at manipulating information and people, he is a true politician.

Just read an article on Yahoo sports about Cal where he spouts "Player development remains a cornerstone of practice. It’s hard. It’s demanding. It works. That’s the pitch. “I’m not going to BS [them],” Calipari said. “This is how it is. If you don’t want this, then don’t come here. I’m not the only coach that can help you prepare for your dreams. This is what we do and how we do it. If you want this, it’s a great place to go. If you don’t want it, then go someplace else. “We treat them right. It’s about them and they know it’s about them.” He does make it sound like he is the only coach that demands hard work.

I didn't catch the interview but caught them talking about it the day after (yesterday). Same garbage, no mention of any previous infractions. Really kissing up to Calipari and the Kentucky program. Then they started talking about the Yankee situation. I knew it was time to switch off sportstalk radio.
