I fully agree that the P5 will be the spoiled brats and get everything they want.  I think that the P5 schools WANT the NCAA and the mid majors for cover, for diversity (read more teams to beat up), and to pretend that everyone has a fair chance to win it all.  This keeps the courts and Congress off their backs and avoids the need to create a parallel organization that will receive funds from the P5 if they create their own organization, essentially making the NCAA Tourney money a wash.
