They need more bats to play the style dictated by the injuries.Singles and doubles are too infrequent for this current roster.Maybe when Derek comes back they can get some consistency in the lineup . In the mean time Gardner still can't put a bunt on the field on demand. He negates his own speedin that play by being a non threat.It appears that the injurys sre now coming to be the factor that everyone thought would slow them down. If the pitching is missing so are the wins.Sure they may break out soon with some double digit outburst of runs but the consistency issue remains. Unless Cano and Wells find the power ability the runs are few and far between.
