Smallwood

Rumor has it that Tyree Smallwood isn't gonna make it.
Thats what several of us heard a two months ago at a luncheon. With the addition of Morris to this recruiting class there is no need for Smallwood.

I thought Smallwood would play WR here?

Another kid who can't seem to understand the chance he's been given.

That's too bad, I was rooting for him. He is from downstate where I am living.

I actually grew up in Cornwall and my parents were there for 24 years. Was excited to see a kid make it D1. Their team was horrible as long as I could remember.

Gorgeous town...one of my favorite villages in NY...close to West Point.

That's too bad--but it opens up a scholarship for the coaching staff to potentially use down the stretch.

With our losing streak to end the year, I don't think hopes are high of landing too many flips (although the Michigan DB would be nice). If Smallwood doesn't make it I continue to hope that Derick Peters is this year's version of Bromley and Nick Robinson. Completely different type of runner than Smallwood, but very similar in terms of highly productive NY RBs with excellent versatility. Peters shared carries, so "only" ran for 1300 yards (9.5 per pop), and by the looks of it nearly single handedly took out an Orchard Park team that ended up undefeated.

No clue unfortunately. His Scout profile hasn't been updated all year. In fact he has two profiles, one includes Cuse and one doesn't. Then I couldn't even find a profile on Rivals or 247. Perhaps he's a bit slow, perhaps he's a bad egg, IDK, but when I see a 6'2" 215lb RB averaging almost a first down per carry, with enough speed to rip off a 99-yard TD run against the undefeated class-AA team... well, it makes me think that we can continue to spend a scholly a year on further cultivating western NY, and find a role for the young man.

about the 3 minute to 5 minute mark is mostly Peters.

The only thing I know about Cornwall is that my high school beat them in the State Championship game in 2006.

A +1 is better than a 0.. just saying.:noidea:

Yep, great place but I can envision the hudson valley becoming more taken over by NYC sprawl over the coming decades
