SU will never have the don7371or dollars that schools like Alabama and others have. We do however have ACC money, a solid donor base, and a Chancellor and BOT that have proven that they are committed to upgrading the Universities infrastructure and Athletic facilities. Our AD has not only provided Dino with many of his requests but has ponied up 1M of his own money. In short the administration has stepped up and shown a willingness to invest in our sports programs.
The following is a list of expenditures that i believe would pay significant dividends towards fielding a better football team.
1: Increase the recruiting budget. I dont have an exact amount but have it equal what BC, Pittsburgh, and Louisville allocate.
2: Increase the assistant coaches salary pool to match or exceed the same schools listed in (1)
3: Significantly improve our medical, training and rehabilitation facilities and staff.
4: Upgrade athletic housing.

SU doesn't need a lazy river, video screens in lockers, or individual seats in the stadium.
What we need are top in class assistant coaches, medical and training staff, recruiting resources and housing. Im hopeful that the recent 25m donation coupled with increased ACC revenue puts us in position to make these investments.

All those things are happening / have happened.

I think you overestimate the donor base.

Athletic housing, for the football team at least, is upgraded IIRC. They don't live in the barracks on South Campus like they did when I was there.

I agree with this x100. Meet the spending of your NE (and Louisville) peer schools. Maybe pass them a little bit, but it doesn't need to be extreme.

Housing is fine. I went to a few parties when UV first opened back in idk maybe 2010 or 2011? They are fantastic 3-4 bedroom apartments. Massive and comfy.
