I'm watching (for like the 8th time) the great ESPN 30-For-30 documentary "Pony Excess," detailing the death penalty assessed to the SMU football team in the 80s. It's on Netflix right now for those who haven't seen it, and it really is a great watch.

I'm at the part where they show recruiters from schools across the country descending on the Dallas campus in the wake of the death penalty announcement. It got me wondering if any of those SMU players ended up at Syracuse. I don't remember hearing of any ending up here, but wasn't sure. Anybody know?

And although its not officially a 30 for 30, I think "Requiem for the Big East" tops all recent sports documentaries.
