A SNOW ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM TO 5 PM EST THURSDAY FOR THE SYRACUSEFAN.COM FOOTBALL AND BASKETBALL BOARDS.

PERIODS OF LIGHT SNOW ARE EXPECTED TO FALL OVER THE NORTHERN PART OF THE WEB SITE FROM THURSDAY MORNING THROUGH FRIDAY AFTERNOON.

EXPECT NEW SNOW ACCUMULATIONS ON THURSDAY TO RANGE FROM 2 TO 6 INCHES FOR USERS ABOVE 2500 FEET...WHILE SNOW
ACCUMULATIONS WILL GENERALLY BE LESS THAN 1 INCH AT LOWER ELEVATIONS.

AREAS OF BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW WILL REDUCE
VISIBILITIES AT TIMES.

A SNOW ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW WILL CAUSE PRIMARILY TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SNOW COVERED ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES...AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING.

LISTEN TO NOAA WEATHER RADIO...OR YOUR LOCAL MEDIA FOR THE LATEST UPDATES ON THIS SITUATION.

work with some people from Binghamton sounded like you guys got crushed down there.

It was insane, especially over night! Couldn’t even see the house across the street.

I'm in SC and it's snowing on my SyracuseFan.com screen.

Well done.
Here in NC also...but just heavy fog outside my window.

People here have been shoveling for years!

Here's a live stream from campus. I haven't been able to find the hawk cam again- does anyone have a link?

I looked a while back. Sadly, I think it has been taken off line.

They had it trained on a nest the hawks put up at Lyman and I checked it out a number of times and never saw them there. I think they might have moved to Oakwood or maybe somewhere else on campus. I saw at least one of them a lot last fall flying around on the Lawrinson camera and they even landed next to it a few times.

Hopefully they get make to normal, the camera goes back on-line and the world gets back to normal by the fall.

Well done, it doesn't really show up on the phone.

:)

I just measured 24" on my truck and it's supposed to snow all day.
I was really worried about the Northeastern basketball team and whether they made it home safely. Hoping they decided to stay overnight in Syracuse.

Driving home last night in that snow would have been a really dangerous thing to do.

I didn't do it. Just put up an advisory. It was either Santa or Tom E.

Probably Santa. I think he is an SU fan since we are the closest big time college program to the North Pole.

Check ESPN, I think the North Pole was annexed by SU, so it's another home court game. SU is usually favored as SU has the height advantage over Santa's Elves.

I know this is the wrong board, but I couldn't resist the opportunity presented by SUTomCat.
