For the record - I don't think the stripes intentionally conspire against any team. I do however think the make up call is real.

They clearly missed an important hold against us in a key spot and I'm sure that has been a subject of discussion with league and stripe officials.

The question is WF looks like our best bet for a playoff spot (long shot I know), so do we get the friendly whistle this game or in a game with less down the road implications. We are going to get a make up, question is when, and against who.

Not a chance. Gotta beat the refs too would be my approach and message, meaning gotta have a margin of victory great enough to make them a non factor.

If it happened once a season, no big deal, but EVERY game this year a vital bs call or no call?! At The very least it is a conspiracy of dunces and incompetence.

Will be tough to overcome and get a margin of victory necessary, let’s hope they can do it.

I think there is bias against us on some level because we’re a northern team and are newer to the conference. But that’s just speculation on my part. I do think that being at home will keep that at bay; refs are human.

No, but I am a firm believer that they shouldn’t compound a mistake by making another mistake. Two wrongs don’t make a right.
Agree with this. Speaking as someone who has officiated (different sport) you never want to compound one mistake with another. Just be better.

Make up calls only happen in the same game.

It's long forgotten, but I think we got one on Tucker's TD run against Rutgers. Looked like Tisdale held a defender that could have made the play and the head ref had a birds eye view.

I know on the FSU hold, their fans said there should have been hands to the face on Wax. I'd still rather them call it correctly, which at worst is offsetting penalties and replay the down, negate the run.

it wasn't, hand was on collar and was actually a reaction to be being held ! Off setting my ass. Another sure sign when fans come out to defend holding call. I have never went on social media to defend calls. Never felt the need.

Maybe, I'll leave that to all of your eyes. But even if it was hands to the face, it's still offsetting and they don't get the run.

Of course, if Barron makes the tackle, they're still at the 35.

We just can't have nice things.

Have to go into every game thinking we are going to get jobbed, one way or the other. Therefore, score lots of points so it doesn’t matter. Have to beat the refs and the opponent.
fans yes, players no, we saw what happened along the sideline when SU player was fearing another blown call.

Agree, and if you have DVR slow it down and look close, hand is on 76 front collar.

Wake is part of the Carolina mafia, so no.

Everyone knows the make up call can only come against other non-ACC ACC teams, like Pitt, BC, Louisville, or VaTech.

I don't know if we get a makeup call or not, but I just watched some of the worst calls in college football. Not sure if I feel better or not.
worst calls

I used to believe this, but Greg Schiano convincing the refs to "make it right" changed my mind.

i think perhaps there may be some cases where you get an occasional make up call during a game.
they do not ever carry over.
