This year I think SU will be much better off in the trenches which should give them time to run read routes with the wide recievers. If Sales comes back I think our WR core is going to be solid. The redshirt WR, Lemon, Sales (maybe), and Ron Thomas should be a nightmare to cover. I know Thomas is listed as a TE however his build is a nightmare. He is the only freshmen in my eyes that will come in and do big things for the program. People forget UM loved the kid the just ran out of ships and since Tyrone is with us we get a lot of shots with kids that get turned away from Michigan. Granted we don't land them all however at least he gets his foot in the door. IMO we are two more years away (needing back to back bowls) from having 4 and 5 star classes.
The second question I think is a great one this year we could have spread the field if we could make people honor it. If we could it would have allowed our RB's to have monster games. When your opponents play the 4 wide sets honestly the running lanes are massive despite average O-line play (see IthacaBarrel's avatar that guy makes a living off of that set). With that said Doug knows 100 times more football then I do so maybe he didn't feel Nassib and the skill guys could pull it off.
