So, if we're going to make a QB switch...

...this seems like the right time to do it. We have two easier home games* coming up, and this would enable Hunt to not only get some much needed game experience, but also give the offense a couple of games to [hopefully] round into form before we get into the ACC portion of the schedule.

I'm not trying to turn this thread into an Allen vs. Hunt debate on their respective merit / potential. Also recognize that the coaches could elect to just stick with Allen and not make the switch.

I'm just saying that if there is a time to pull the trigger, it probably makes sense to make the switch now, with two home games coming up that could help the offense "get well."



*I also recognize that we struggled at Tulane two years ago. I don't think we're in a position where any FBS game on the schedule is a "gimme" unfortunately until we prove otherwise; but we have to win that game--we just have to--if we are going to get to 6 wins and bowl eligibility.

Shafer seems to be open minded about a switch. He has declared that it is an open competition. I think some reading between the lines is possible here.
