I know there is a separate Marlowe Wax appreciation thread, but I am so impressed with the overall group of LBs we have. Seemed like everyone made big plays and were flying to the ball.
We have had a lot of good LBs since I started watching Cuse as a frosh in 1989 - Conley, Glen Young, Bulluck, Nate Helmlsey (an all time fav of mine), Zaire, Spruill, Mikell, Cam Lynch, Jameel McClain, Clifton Smith, Morlon Greenwood, Antwuane Ponds, Terry Wooden, Kevin Mitchell (sort of).
EDIT: Left off a few more - Doug Hogue, Derrell Smith, Jameel Dumas, David Bavarro.
But this may be the deepest (and perhaps the most athletic) group I remember.
- Wax is playing like an All- American.
- McDonald is a big guy, flies around, and looks like he could be a pro.
- Sparrow really started imposing his will in the second half.
- Leon Lowery really popped especially in the first half.
- Stefon Thompson looks like he is starting to round into form.
