There is a reason I always write tO$U.

I mean, did not Syracuse get a probation year for the exact game thing Ohio St. got nothing (specifically players driving provided new cars)

I hate to say this, and it may be some grandstanding after my soul crushing 8 hours being berated by Ohio St. grads. I think there is no more purity in sports.

The fix is indeed in. Call that a copout whatever, but that game last night to me is a turning point in my life. I was all in from the beginning, and what I watched again just now, well, it kind of broke me.

I can no longer invest that part of my soul for something that the kids do not get to decide.

Time heals all wounds. October 15 will be here soon enough and a new season begins.

Welcome to reality.

There's no purity in any human activity, all humans are flawed and therefore all organizations and activities involving humans are flawed. If you're watching sports thinking that it is somehow the one area of life untainted by human imperfection, you're bound to be disappointed. You're far better off accepting that nonsense like yesterday happens, whether by intent or (more likely in my opinion) the fact that most people are largely incompetent at their chosen craft and often screw things up badly. It actually makes the rare moments when something decent and good happens that much sweeter, because you know how much politics, corruption, incompetence, and indifference had to be overcome to reach that summit.

Not sure if that helps you cope with the loss or makes you want to commit suicide; I'm not very good at motivational speeches. But I gave it my best shot...

Enough with the conspiracy theories. The refs sucked, SU got the worst of it. It happens. Doesn't mean "the fix was in."

Do you guys realize how ridiculous you sound?

Yeah, I expect to recover from this loss tomorrow, and believe strongly we were hosed and I'm still a tad bitter obviously, but I never think for a minute the refs are in on a fix.

They have bad days too, and although I literally have never seen so many phantom calls in my life (i may have seen more no-contact fouls last night than in any entire year combined), I don't think they're in on any funny business. Why call that second on Sullinger if they were?

Maybe they called it so they could say, why would we call a 2nd foul on Sully? Hmmmmmmm. Apparantly that is the one call everyone who claims it was evenly horribly officated points to.

For the record I dont believe the fix was in. I just think the refs sucked BALLLLLLLSSSSSSSSSSSSS

A fix wouldn't have been so obvious.

neither here nor there and SU got boned worse but the worst call of the game might've been the basket interference call on OSU
