Apparently they are bailing on this by saying its an ongoing investigation and any comments would be in appropriate. More BS on top of this scandal. If they stick their heads in the sand,it will all go away.

Not defending the scumbags, but given the legal fallout that is certain to occur, it's probably wise to avoid a situation where Paterno says the wrong thing and increase his and PSU's exposure (bear in mind Paterno is a doddering old man who can bear construct a coherent sentence these days).

Yes he is old and beyond ability to function without a depends. That doesn't excuse the top officials from sending out a representative to make a condescending statement about doing everything to get the facts and justice for the kids involved with this mess. The board of trustees are a total waste of taxpayer money in their capacity as overseers.A disgrace to the school at its alumni

Not at all the old board has John Garcia which makes the trip a good deal IMO The NY Times is stating Its a matter of days or weeks before Paterno is gone. I sat What is up with "weeks" It should be minutes or hours before that egotistical moron is terminated. He doesn't even have theses to resign and spare himself the disgrace of being fired Squeaky clean Papa Joe is now mired in s#%t. Our problems with a few players while minor become less intense. Make no mistake those kids are also troubled and must deal with the law regardless of their past. Anything ,however is less "dishonorable?) than sexual abuse of young people. What makes it worse in their case is the length of time this has gone on without action on the part of the school in terms of getting rid of these JOs including but not limited to Paterno. OK Sandusky got out of Dodge but these other clown including Pope Joe hung around and nothing done to get rid of them when they all knew. I dispose hypocrites and Joe is one of the worse ever.:bat:
