WMU is going to blitz and force TD to the right and try to take away the left and middle of the field. Until the O can show they can counter that, teams will continue doing it...especially if there is any difficulty running the ball. I expect the OL to get better as the season progresses which is a good thing, but how fast they do is a big question mark. And again I can't stress enough that they do get stronger as the game goes on while the D tires but to take advantage of that you have to actually move the ball or it's a moot point. Think of it like a video game. The OL starts with 6 power points and depending on the DL theirs will vary. Clemson starts with 10 and as they tire they should go down but since there were not enough drives to tire that 10 to a 6 and knock that power down, it didn't go down so they could not move the ball. Plus, you can only go so fast on 3 and outs. you need to get first downs to pick up that steam to get the locomotive running. Vs WMU...their DL will start with a 6 or 7 and if SU can move the ball they will tire and go down to a 4 or 5 and the more SU moves the ball the lower the number will get. If they don't move the ball and it'll be a stalemate, just we saw many times vs Liberty. This is one reason why I don't like the jumbo package, if the D is gassed keep the metal to the floor and don't let them bring in rested players. On a side note.....I remember teams that attacked Nassib would try to blitz and take away his vision to his receivers, he had a heck of an arm but no touch. I see teams doing that to TD but what I see from him is a better touch and about as good of an arm so throwing over the LB/DB can be accomplished if given time to do so.
