What comes to mind for me is the report we had about the game plan on defense for USF and the emphasis on tackling high. I'm not sure what that means, but I cringed when I read it. And the tackling against USF was poor and the tackling today was poor. The Eskridge whiff was some kind on weird attempt to go high, and the aforementioned report immediately entered my mind. Ugh!
Even though that play and the Reddish drop stand out in the end I'm much more concerned with the tackling overall and the play overall at the free safety position. The angles being taken and the missed tackles at that position need to be improved.
