I know the English have decided to call the sport "gridiron". The term soccer was actually invented by them to differentiate those who played "asSOCiation football" from those who played rugby football. I guess that would make our sport "gridiron football". Does anyone have any better ideas?

My sister-in-law suggest that once we get this straightened out, we can find something to call our champions other than "world" champions when the world isn't playing a sport.
