Not to mention, a fish out of water in a predominant (sans Northwestern) sea of land grant/large state institutions.  Although, at least SU football would've still been breathing.

That said, IMO, all fans of Syracuse football should be eternally grateful to the ACC.  And, for such grace, SU owes it to the league to not be a complete and utter embarrassment on the field.  So, at a minimum, SU should be in the solid position of going bowling annually, which, with all the bowls currently out there, is not that high of a bar to attain.
