layups and dunks are higher percentage shots. They happen more when Kadary is in the game

Making a lot of shots padded the lead. Defending in the paint and rebounding was the real difference. Miami went inside 4 times early on to get the lead. Jesse comes in and all the sudden that option was gone.. second chances essentially dried up too.

This is part of it along with him controlling the offense and the ball not sticking. But the defense plays off him when he's in and dares him to shoot while clogging the paint. Hes a non factor unless teams play him tight.

Run some action where Buddy rubs his guy off him while taking a handoff. If Kadary's guy doesn't step out, Buddy has space to shoot. If he does, Kadary keeps the ball and drives.

I don't remember many open shots at all against Pitt. I think playing with a real center helps and certainly playing with a real point guard helps. When Kadary gets past his man, others come to help and boom, open shot. Then Joe started penetrating much better. It loosened up the whole defense. I don't think Miami is a particularly good defensive team, so we will see if any of tonight's revelations carry over to Virginia and VTech.

I don’t see a lot of ridiculous, desperation, fade away, super-far three point shots when KaDary is playing. I don’t think there’s a statistic for that.

I also don’t remember us getting a lot of dunks when KaDary is not playing.

Tonight, I did see the springy, lithe Miami center getting a few dunks early in the game vs Marek. He didn’t get such easy opportunities when Jesse was in.

The lineup change seemed to transform the team. Before it happened, I would not have been surprised if we had gotten smoked by Miami. And afterward, we smoked them. Obviously, there are no parallel timelines with different lineups and outcomes. I’m just talking about the eye test.

Yeah, it's sort of amazing how things can work when we play guys in their natural positions. We actually had a PG and a true center out there last night. Too bad we didn't think of this earlier!
