Edwards is an interesting case.  If he had come to SU his only playing time would have been on special teams unless he moved to LB then he might've gotten some time as a true frosh but not very likely. With Smith, Gulley, Moore, McFarlane and Morris he wouldn't have been getting any PT at RB.  At Miami he is the 3rd RB behind 2 sophs.  He is the big back.  He is playing the role this year he might've played next year at SU.  He definitely will be recruited over at Miami (they've already signed a 4 star from Miami Central).  But as a true frosh he is getting time as the big back when there are seniors his size that are not.  So his early PT at Miami is a combo of opportunity and ability.  He may never be the #1 back at Miami but I think it is pretty evident he will be one of the Miami RB's who play for the next 3+ years.   He was also one of 3 true frosh RB's this year but is the only one playing, mainly due to his size which is what will keep him in the rotation.  I'd say Gus made a good decision if he wanted to keep playing RB.
