... an extension.
to go out and buy the best special team coach out there.
They have lost 7 games in a row, and are looking to get back in the win column by beating a IAA team. I am sure there is one coach who is expendable!Who do you get rid of?
You're only allowed 9 assistant coaches on the staff.

how about build a football facility before giving a coach who has lost 7 in a row an extension. Beat Stony Brook and a few other bad Big East teams before there is any extension talk. I am not against an extension but ya know, win a few games first! lol

Better yet, what does TGD get? If anyone deserves an extension...
We aren't remotely close to building a football facility. It's actually on the back burner. Give Marrone an extension first.

The practice facility has raised $5 million. They need $15 million in order to start building. Gross said on the radio this afternoon that the $17 million dollar TV contract doesn't include each schools local TV contracts. For the ACC that is $4-7 million a school. I would say we are on the upper end of that. The other conferences don't get to keep their local TV contracts, so the ACC contract may actually be more than the Pac 10 and Big 12. Now with the addition of Notre Dame, our number is going to rise again. This is huge compared to what we received from the Big East. We will also have much better options with regards to bowl games. ND can only help with bowl alignments.

There was architectual plans bouncing around the internet last spring. There's gotta' be some thought about it. G*d knows we need 'em. Why not do both? Use the extra ACC money and have a fund-raising drive and do both. An indoor facility would be fantastic, and you have to think that it would improve the product on the field, which would generate more money. It may not completely immediately pay for itself, but I would think that the increased revenue would take a bite out of that cost.We aren't remotely close to building a football facility. Then they NEED to start making callsObviously there is thought about it, but the football facility would need several huge donations to kickstart it. That hasn't happened.

having a fancy, new indoor practice field would be HUGE
You're dead wrong on 2. A lot of recruits comment on loving the "apartment style living" when they leave campus. Also, I don't think students would be too happy if they renovated athletes apartments and not theirs, look what happened when they were given iPads.I dont think the actual field is that huge of a deal in recruiting. We have the Dome and Manley. I would put as much money as possible into two things.
1: Locker room meeting rooms lounge and coaches facilities.
2: Skytop apartments. I cant remember the number of times a recruit comes away loving Skytop. I would really put some coin into those.
